Advisement Team JFSB

Courtney

Hiya! I’m Courtney, I’m a sociology senior studying international development and global women’s studies. I served a mission in Sweden, studied abroad in Jerusalem, volunteered in a refugee camp in Greece, and taught health classes in India. I read, travel, yoga (getting my certification!), and read some more. I hope to combine my two passions - refugee rights and women’s rights - to create an organization that empowers women refugees.

I have been involved with the Ballard Center since sophomore year, and it has played a crucial part of my studies, my life, and my personal development. I participated with SIP, interning with Fundacion Paraguaya, helping communities alleviate poverty. Through Ballard Center grants, I spent the past summer in Uganda conducting impact analysis with Ballard Center vetted organization, Amaani Collective. Now I’m a TA for the Ballard Center’s foundational course, Do Good. Better. I also am an advisor and would love to meet with you to help you find out how you can get more involved with what you are passionate about! Together, we can do good. Better.
